    1. What comes with the combo pack?

      • Code for a digital download.

      • So its an extra story, digital only? Do you own it, PDF style? or is it “rented” digitally through comixology or something? Sorry if my new to digital intellect is lacking on his one.

      • It’ll be a digital version, accessible through the DC website or some other DC approved device, of Batman #5. No actual file either, simply rights to view it on a DC approved platform.

      • Its the same thing as the comic, sometimes shows all of the variant covers (Variants in DC drive me nuts since theres no way of knowing it is a Variant like Marvel) It uses DC Online which is Comixology and it downloads the issues to your computer or tablet which I have. I am ALL for paying $1 more for the digital and print combos and I buy every single one of them. I am a reader and a collector but I like to read it on the go on the bus, in the car, on the ferry and I don’t want to lug my fresh comics with me. So to me its the best of both worlds. Theres nothing more addictive than the smell of a freshly opened comic!

      • @emberman There is a five digit code in the barcode box that has that information. It’s not obvious at all really. For instance, Batman #1, non variant, first print would have a code of 00111, a variant would have been 00121, a second print would be 00112. First three numbers are issue number, fourth is variant, and fifth is printing. It’s pretty consistent across publishers. Dynamite might be the oddball I think. I get confused if it’s a 50/50 cover, since those get the variant numbering, even if they’re not a 1:X ratio variant.

      • Here’s a good example actually. http://cdn.ifanboy.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/The-Shade_4_Variant.jpg It’s above the smaller of the two barcodes.

    2. That makes more sense. Thanks. I am scanning my collection into Comic Collector using my Android Tablet and been noticing some of the numbers weren’t changing from issue to issue. Thanks for the explanation. Wish they’d put a Variant tag instead, like Marvel.
