  1. I really like the direction this is headed. Throwing James into the mix last issue was an unexpected surprise. Cant wait to see what the COO has planned for this issue.

  2. Dammit… dropped this after the first issue, but now I’m all curious and interested…. Damned effective crossovers…

  3. Loving the Court of Owls story! Picking this up for sure!

I’ve been really liking this series so far and am looking forward to seeing what James Jr. will add to the mix.

  5. Went from a 3 to a 4 rating on this one because of the 1944 Japan back story and how it fit into the plot

    • Yeah that was really cool. That’s one of the most interesting stories from World War II and Simone incorporated it nicely. Also, loved the “challenge accepted” line.

  6. I thought the fight was over much too easily. Dropped this early in the series, only back for the crossover. The only thing I thought really stood out here was the atmosphere created by the balloons and the Batsignal being taken over by the owls. Very eerie stuff. Well done!

  7. Another fine Batgirl issue in this series, I liked all of the intense danger that was expelled from the pages of this issue. I could feel the anxiety and the sweat coming from Batgirl and Com. Gordan in this issue and not to mention the over hanging Jim story line hanging over this title as well. The fight scene was set up in two parts and I could see why with al of the back story on just this one Talon, which is not normal for the quantity there are of them. I did however; really enjoy the back story and the set up for where we were with this Talon. Another fine Battitle!!!

  8. Wow! Batgirl #9 was amazing. Not only did Ardian Syaf deliver his best work yet in the title, but Simone also wrote a fantastic story. This one shows the true reach of the Court of Owls. And Batgirl’s closing remarks were just chilling.

  9. Enjoying the Batgirl series in general, but issue 9–wow, I’m counting the days until issue 10!
Love how they weaved a historical plot that fits and can’t wait to see how it develops.

  10. Next issue is not Night of the Owls tie in correct?

Other than Nightwing and Batman we'[re only getting one tie in comic each is how I understand it.

  11. I am thinking of picking up this series, any thoughts? I am picking up most of the other Bat-books and I am interested in reading and learning more about this character. Also I have really like Gail Simone in the past. Tell me what you think!
