    Loved this so much. Pilgrim Steph was hilarious and I’m pretty sure I have a huge crush on Stephanie Brown now…

    Damn. Love this series, but this issue just didn’t do it for me. Perhaps just a bit too random? Unknown. Still, a 3 star week for one of my favorite books. Too bad.

    Ok, can I bitch for one second? Stephanie finds a kid with a heart in his hand, chanting over an arcane symbol. He tells her that his magic cat did it. Not only does she immediately believe him, but she also helps said cat get laid rather than, I dunno… contacting Batman or the JLA to contain a murderous magical entity? That fucking cat killed 2 people! Klarion is an accessory! And Steph is just totally cool with that, so much so that they have a whimsical date is Limbo Towne. Also, for those of us who remember Klarion from back in the day, and didn’t read Seven Soldiers? A little, tiny bit of background on this new kid would have been nice. He’s a pilgrim guy now? But, like, a magic witch pilgrim? Sounds like a cool character and origin. Wish someone had told me anything about it in this issue.

    Sorry. Rant over. I love this book, and Stephanie. And Brian Q. Miller.

    @CaseyJustice  — Couldn’t agree with you more on this one.  I love the series,and Batgirl is always one of my first reads whenever it came out, but this one was just…off….   It didn’t make a lot of sense to me and until you laid it out, I couldn’t put my finger on why.  Not horrible but yeah, I’m only giving it a 3 star rating myself.

    I’d like to see Nguyen do the painting thing for the entire issue.  Those panels looked much better than the rest of them.

    @Malecema I imagine that would take an enormous amount of time but I always, always wish the coloring on his interiors would match the cover work he does.

    Yup I agree this was a lil off, with the whole dismissing the heart in the hand thing, and the nonchalance of everyone with a witch-boy with blue skin in a pilgrim outfit walking around thing too. The ‘Limbo Towne’ sequence was hilarious though, and DNguyen’s artistic versatility is incredible.
