  1. Kind of disappointed with this mini. Shifting to what felt like a pointless side story killed the momentum we had coming out of The Long Death. This series is growing more and more spotty lately, and the issues are starting to feel really short.

    • I dunno. I kinda like the side story feel of this mini. Plus, we really got to see Devon step up and be a bad ass. I think he desperately needed that.

    • I’m with Jr. Wormwood, I think Devon had solidified hinmself as my least favorite character after his actions–and inaction–regarding Abe. This mini helped his character gain a little cred, even if I still don’t really “like” him, he took steps to show that he does in fact belong.

Plus, that first page has me excited for the next mini even more than I already was, and Tyler Crook keeps on proving why he earned an Eisner for promising newcomer; I enjoy his work more each and every issue.
