  1. Good to see Tyler Crook is back & finally we can find out what’s happening with Liz & get too know more about Fenix?!

  2. I enjoyed this very much. There was a lot of ground to cover between Liz’s recovery, Fenix’s journey, and the BPRD’s status, but Arcudi masterfully touched on all of it, and included some enticing new developments as well. It was awesome to see Liz back after so long, I had nearly gotten used to her being out of the picture. Hopefully she can store up some strength because I have a feeling she’s gonna have to go full nova again, or work with Padma to harness some new tricks in order to save the planet.

I didn’t realize how much I missed Tyler Crook’s art till I opened this book up, all the recent guest artists have done a fine job, but it was great to see the mainstay back in action. Crook has such a wonderful handle on economy of line, and the amount of expression he achieves in his characters faces is incredible. Whether in a boardroom of talking heads, or a disaster zone full of Ogdru Jahad, Tyler Crook’s deceptively simple work is some of the best in comics.
