  1. I kinda like how this title is all over the place.  I never really know what to expect.

  2. I actually really like this book a lot. Excited!

  3. I had to drop this one, it wasn’t for me.

  4. I also like this book. Actually, scratch that, I love this book. Really unpredictable and exciting. chris Gage continues his sterling work from Avengers: Initative.

  5. I’m only still picking this up because I like Gage the characters aren’t really connecting with me. But I know they have the potential to. Other than that kid with a lighting bolt on his costume he just looks stupid.

  6. cliffhanger last issue has me really excited for this one.  plus, pretty cool to have both issues of the crossover on the same week.  good move, Marvel!

  7. Love this book. It seems Gage is going to spotlight each character in this opening arc. Once Gage develops these characters this book will really take off.

  8. Didn’t expect to like this as much as I have been

  9. Wait a minute… It only has an inker and a colorist. Who’s penciling it?

  10. According to Comixology: Mike McKone  …but I only found that by looking under the variants for the issue.  Marvel’s own sight doesn’t mention it either.  Odd.

  11. a book with only an inker and a colorist would be pretty cool looking.

  12. Was never a fan of "Young" team books… Until this one. I also felt like I had to support Gage because I was not reading anything else he is currently working on. This was the Avengers book I thought I would drop the quickest but turning into my favorite.

  13. I am absolutely a fan of "young" team books. I like my 90210 infused with superherodom.  This is very much new mutants with an avengers flavor.

  14. Wow great read, not done my stack yet but looking like potw, I subscribe to tbolts, and it’s always late so have to wait for the second part

  15. So we read this before Thunderbolts?

  16. Having read both, read this one before Thunderbolts; this does not spoil Thunderbolts at all, where Thunderbolts does sort of spoil the end of this one.

  17. This was great. I really am surprised Gage could keep the quality he had on The Iniative. I love what hes doing with the characters, going really in depth with each one. I really liked what hes doing with both speedball and Hazmat. I was already interested in the chracters but this put it over the edge.

  18. @avenger117 I never read initiative but am really impressed how much Gage has made me care about these characters so quickly, brilliant superhero comics

  19. I say this as a Bendis fan, but this is definitely the best Avengers book. Gage is the second best Pym writer around behind Dan Slott. Great book.

  20. Kind of average to me, but I liked that it didn’t make EVERY character a loner. Hazmat is forming a little team of her own there.

  21. Do i need to read T-Bolts to get this story?

  22. No.

And this was awesome. 5/5 and pick of the week.

  23. Friggin awesome issue. The first two were good but Gage brought the series to a new level here. I love his inclusion of the "guest instructors. " It allows Gage to include any characters he wants for a few issues, without causing havoc in other books.

  24. Did anyone else get chills with THAT scene with Speedball? Ugh.

  25. His recovery isn’t going to be easy, is it?

  26. Really enjoying this comic.  Great characters with an emphasis on character development.

  27. This is my favorite of the four Avengers books. I love the interaction between the students and teachers, and they are really coming together in terms of character development. The story is a cliche situation with a lot of original details and plot points. Really great book, i think. And i LOVED the seen with Valkyrie!

  28. This series is off to a great start with some of the best writing I’ve seen from Gage. I love how this issue crossed over with Thunderbolt’s but you don’t have to read both books to follow the story. I wish more crossovers would work that way.
