  1. Too bad iFanboy called Guggenheim a terrible writer on their podcast when he is in fact one of the most solid scripters Marvel has.  I expect nothing less here.

  2. My only problem with this is the Spider-man is a total asshole at the beginning!  Jackpot has a three year old for christ’s sake! ou would think that Pete would have a little understanding and not go straight to that "I let Uncle Ben down" place…again.

  3. @KickAss: We did no such thing.

  4. @KickAss: they may not have said he’s awful, but I certainly do. Maybe not a solo series such as this but definetly at the X-men line. God he’s one of the few writers who can actually do something wrong with the X-men toybox. He needs to take note from Mike Carey and not Jeph Loeb.

  5. The art was relatively amateurish and although it presented the story in an easy to follow fashion it was not in the least exciting.  I never connected to the characters and the story felt very superficial and formulaic.  All in all, boring.  This comic did nothing to present a compelling case for what this character adds to the Marvel Universe (or even to my monthly entertainment).  Maybe it’ll pick up in the second issue.

  6. This was an excellent issue, love the character and love the writing.
