  1. So, so great.

  2. all-power costume, eh?

  3. The new & improved Spider-Armor, now resistant against giant pick-up sticks!

  4. Didn’t Spidey have an armor costume back in the 90’s? It was all silver and bumpy, if I recall.

  5. Just read the last 16 issues last week. This book is so so good.

  6. It looks like Spiderman at a rave. Lasers, ecstasty and some trance. Looking forward to this.

  7. BIG TIME!!! The most amazing part about it is how truly and honestly it has lived up to its name. This is the most fun superhero book on the stands–and yet the last issue almost brought me to tears of grief, all without missing a beat!
What an amazing accomplishment Slott has achieved in injecting a wholly unique new tone to the book while staying completely true to the title’s history as well. Never would have thought I’d be loving a spidey run with “all new spidey armors!” every few issues!! But Slott has certainly been making it work. Hats off.
  8. Hoping this is close to as good as last issue. Martin is ridiculously good.

  9. I remember trading my green foil cover of the spider armor issue to my friend for his red foil cover of Venom Lethal Protector number 1.

    the 90s.

  10. maybe i’m confused. Is massacre being introduced this issue or was he introduced in the .1 issue?

  11. @oopsxlandmine:  this issue.  He showed up in the last panel of 655 but they didn’t really introduce him as such (at least I’m assuming that was him).

  12. The character design of Massacre was the one blemish in what was otherwise a spectacular #655 issue. I can only hope it improves with repetition.

  13. Spider-Taint, Spider-Taint…

  14. The solict implied my first thought was wrong. My first thought was dead on. Was anyones first throught wrong?

  15. @Zeppo  nope, but then again i don’t really read solicits, they suck. i could count on three fingers the number of times a colicit has gotten me to pick up a book in the last 15 years

  16. this was balling by the way, loved the tone

  17. Very good stuff.  The art was a step down from last time, but that is in no way an insult.  This art was just really good, while 655 was career defining.  The writing continues to be good as well.

  18. I started out thiking this issue wasn’t going to be quite as good as the previous issues of Big Time have been, but the middle and end of this were fantastic.  I agree with MisterJ too, art took a slight step back this issue but it was still  quite good.  The costume might have had something to do with it too….not a fan of it but it was good for this story.

  19. @cubman987.. yea, this costume was dumb. Granted, it looked better in the book than on the cover, but still… not a good look. Doesn’t even look very armor-ish.

  20. is it me or does that cover art make his ” helmet “ looks very very mysterio like

  21. Tried this and the last issue and…meh. They were alright, but not amazing. I’ll pick up the next issue but I don’t think I’ll be picking it up after that.

  22. i loved the panels where we saw the costume in the rain from a distance. such a great lead up to the reveal

  23. I loved the way they designed the first page with the credits, the way they eventually direct your sight to the bottom with the bomb clicker.

  24. is BIG TIME still on? I didn’t see the cheesy banner…

I love how no one will ever die again on my watch…except for ya know that bunch of people. Poor spidey, its all so futile. Really great issue though. what a great run.

  25. This issue seemed like a step down to me.  Not that it wasn’t great but…I don’t know…it just felt off.  And Marcos Martin’s art looked a little rough in places (heresy, I know.)  But I LOVE how Spidey’s world is being changed without his spidey-sense.  It’s brilliance.

  26. to be honest last issue of Spidey was incredible, so this had a lot to live up to, but I thought it was pretty good. Thought the costume looked stupid, but thought that massacres origin was clever. Loving the reign of Slot to be honest.
