  1. Great cover.

  2. I need this like I need oxygen, Spider-man is the best it’s ever been in my opinion. Question.. Is the original ‘Nothing can stop the juggarnaut’ story in print? If so where can I get it? And secondly, is the juggernaut still a good guy? The last time I saw him was in the Chuck Austen X-books a good while back with sammy the fish-boy as his side-kick. This cover is awesome

  3. This is indeed an awesome cover!

  4. I am sooo looking forward to these issues!

  5. Haven’t read Amazing Spider-man in over 15 years – never got into the writing.

But now . . . this is possibly the best written superhero title out there.
And it because the writers are focusing on characters.
Scramblin’ to get the issues I missed the past 2 years.

  6. ok guys sneak peek here!

I was talking to Lee Weeks at supershow on saturday and he had pages from this arc and let me tell you HOLY CRAP! Buy this, if even only for the art!

  7. Hmm looks like another great spidey issue this week.

  8. Stern is the man! I’ll buy anything he writes.

  9. It’s about time we got a breath of fresh air out of this fucking series.

  10. I believe Juggernaut has gone back evil — or at least is no longer good — re-upping his deal with the Cyttorak demon.  This happened in the lousy X-men WWH mini. So, yeah, you could have missed it easy. Since then he has fought the Hulk at least one time. I am not sure if he has shown up anywhere else.

  11. Agree w/JimBilly4 — Believe Juggernaut is now considered a "villain".

2 years ago (?), Cain was losing his power and needed to regain the source of his power from the gem of Cytorak.  The entity inside his crystal is making him more powerful and sinister again. Always wish’d Juggernaut was just a mutant, instead of a big guy with a mystical gem . . .

  12. This was a great issue that felt modern except for the “tissue paper” comment. Has anyone really said that before in real life?

  13. Great issue I am loving me some spidey!

  14. I’m jumping on for this arc to see how it goes.  The art and story in this issue were great.  Everything I want in a superhero comic.

  15. Avatar photo Arrrggghhh (@Arrrggghhh) says:

    Fantastic artwork.
Alway enjoy Weeks’ work. But with this issue – it almost seems like John Romita Jr did the layouts. Which is a very good thing. I had to double check of the credits . . .
He doesn’t seem to stay on any one title too long. I remember he did a few great issues of Hulk and Capt Marvel.
Is Lee Weeks mostly a standby filler artist?

  16. @Duraflametree – I have to buy tissuepaper every week for my side job when I’m wrapping gifts. But I’ve heard that phrase all throughout my life. I don’t see how it wouldn’t be timely now as ever.

  17. @Duraflametree- Thats a pretty common phrase.  I know I’ve said it before.

  18. I got a JRJR feel as well. I love ASM. 4/5 which to me is super-solid but not mind-blowing.

  19. @robbydzwonar
    What are you referring to?

I loved the art in this issue; the story felt a little to… explain-y here, where Spider-fella was narrated almst his every move, but in a way that did make sense (i.e. not, "I will now punch this man in the face!" but explaining what he was doing with the camera memory card, which is valid since not everyone would understand.) It just felt a tiny bit tiresome to read something with such exciting art that compliments a fairly slow story.
