  1. What’s this? More Daredevil in my Spidey? Hell yeah!

  2. I’m hoping that’s spidey on the cover, wearing one of daredevil’s spares due to the fact that he has only one costume and the lady has stolen it. And I hope it doesn’t fit properly, and smells too much like Matt Murdock.

  3. @NealAppeal   I didn’t even think of that.  Then i looked at the cover and felt stupid for not catching it.

  4. @NealAppeal That would be pure awesome.

  5. Lucky us Jimenez’s stuff has been the worst of a bad lot on this book and he gets to come back and do another run. They should have brought back Marcos Martin!

  6. I definitely think it is Spidey in a spare costume.  Pretty damn funny cover I think.

  7. I’m picking this up because of a light week but I’m not excited because I’m not interested in a teenage Spider-man.

I know I’ll get roasted just go easy on me.

  8. i don’t understand. where is there a teenage spider-man?

  9. @JesseG-I have’nt read a Spider-man book since Ben Reilly was around so I could be mistaken. But I remember hearing about Spider-man making a deal with Mephisto and he reverted back to being a single teenager (One More Day I think)and about that time I decided to start reading again and I remember thinking a younger Spider-man was not appealing to me.  Of course I could have heard wrong and this could be very good.  I’ll find out tomorrow.

  10. @Kory  He’s not younger.  Just not married.  Also the revealing of his identity during Civil War was erased, and he’s back to using webshooters instead of internal webbing.

  11. I stand corrected.  Thanks, I need all the help I can get as I started reading comics back in May.

  12. @Kory:  So, he’s his normal age (I think mid 20s) and with some of the normal woes one might have at that age:  single but looking, a little light on cash, needing a good job, oh and fighting tons of new bad guys, not to mention being hunted since he is an unregistered super human.

    Good stuff man.

  13. Man, I feel like an idiot.  I’ve been avoiding this book but it turns out this is the Spider-man I’ve been wanting to read because my life is just like his, mid twenties, light on cash, hate my job.

I’m gonna go bang my head against a wall.

  14. yay more DD in Spidy! i cant wait!! but i want more of a team on it with the last arc like with the Paper killer. i LOVED the art for that and the team!!

  15. The first ish of this arc didn’t really speak to me as much the the previous ones under the Brand New Day imprint, hopefully this pulls me in more. Of course, either way I’ll pick it up — gots ta have me Spidey fix.

  16. @Kory:  Yep, much to some people’s chagrin, Brand New Day has actually been very good.  Perfect?  No.  But a damn fun read so far, imho.

  17. That cover is pretty cool but I still refuse to read Spider-Man since they fucked up with the whole BND shit.

  18. I agree that BND has been pretty decent. Most arcs are good ( except bob gale!!) and this is where Dan Slott should be writing a solo book. But how is Phil Jimenez still here? His art does not fit Spiderman at all and has really brought down his previous arc and this one!

  19. Did anyone else give a chuckle to the calls about superman?

  20. @guardedmarman I don’t know. I’m kind of weirded out by the comic book references in this arc. I like the way Watchman has it, where Superhero comics never really took off because people had plenty of the real thing. I’m not sure if that would be necessarily true, but I still find it strange that people in spider-man know who Superman is.

  21. I really liked this issue… good to see Vermin again. I always liked that character. Jimenez did an awesome job with this one. Guggenheim and Slott should be sole writers of this book. Although we’ve only seen one arc by Wells so far, so I might be eating those words later.

  22. @Guardemarman-Most zombies will find it funny, I on the other hand thought it was necessary.  To me it  came off a little too smarmy and it only served to further my low opinion of some of the people running Marvel.  It was sad because I had a bad week of comics and this was the book I was most looking forward to because it and Captain America were two books I was gonna try this week and sadly I won’t read this again but will definitely read Cap again.

Anyone else catch the title?  It was "Identity Crisis".  I felt that was another pot shot.

Feel free to flame me for not liking it, just remember it’s MY OPINION.

  23. @Kory  I wouldnt say either of those nods to DC came across negatively.

  24. Me either, it was just a joke.  Both companies do it all the time.

  25. Noob question:

I thought BND "erased" Spidey’s memories of being with MJ?

  26. No, just of being married to her.  He knows they had a relationship in the past, but that it didn’t work out.

As for this issue and the story with Kraven so far, meh:  not digging Ms Mullet at all.

  27. @cman12- People have different experiences when reading or watching something.  When I read that line I thought it came off a little assholish (I think I just invented a word).  Sadly it distracted me from the rest of the story…that and the horrible Helen Slater rip-off villian.

If anyone did’nt get the Helen Slater reference check out the movie "The Legend of Billie Jean" you might get a chuckle…or not.

  28. @CaptSteveRogers – Peter and MJ still dated and were engaged but according to the new memories, he didn’t show up for the wedding for reasons as yet unexplored.

  29. iFanboys: me thinks you should add another score to the user reviews beyond "story" and "art".  You may also want to add a user review score for "cover".  I have not been reading this book & rarely let myself get suckered in by a nifty cover; but Spidey in Hornhead’s threads cost me 299 cents this week.  Gracias Senor Jimenez.

  30. One of the first spider-man comics I bought was Peter Davids SinEater storyline. In it DareDevil cries out "Peter!" as he is being beaten to attract the attention of Spider-Man to help him.

That was almost 20 years ago!! They have known each others identity for 20 years!

That panel with webbing on his face (okay, I flicked through this issue in the shop) is the single most stupid thing I have seen for a long time.

Fuck you Joe Quesada and your fucking stupid BND!

(Nice art though – Jimenez is cool)
