  1. AOA through the Lapham lense, baby!

  2. AoA really rocks my clock. Totally wasn’t expecting it to be such an awesome first issue…with surprises like Keeper Murdoch, I am anxious to where this goes….

    • keeper murdock was a pleasant twist. i don’t know if this was horror shows first appearence or if he has been in other books, but i love the look.

  3. This could be a sleeper hit for Marvel – issue one exceeded my already considerable expectations.

I’m surprised they are releasing another alternate universe X-title so soon with Pak’s X-Treme X-men though. Wait a minute … no i’m not, this is Marvel, what the Hell was I talking about!

  4. Sometimes I can over hype things in my head and when I read the next issue I wonder…now what was I so excited about? Such is not the case with AoA #2…once again an awesome issue. I love the story has a density to it without feeling overly weighed down with exposition. Some comics you read and think…that was 20 pages? This feels substantial and lays the groundwork for a whole lotta awesome.

    • Agreed. Lapham’s bringing that same dense storytelling that Remender is with X-Force – and it’s working. Not often I read a superhero comic twice, but this & #1 both warranted it.

  5. i finally like an xbook.
cyclops actually having one eye. seeing victor and jean as friends. dark beast bringing xsoilders back from the grave. daredevil as an tyrannical enforcer. some very interesting ingredients that are cookin’ up something fierce.
de la torre’s art is perfect for this story. rough, gritty and paints a real ugly picture that is this realm.
