  1. I was really looking forward to this run, but now that changes have been announced so soon, I honestly don’t think I care about this book any longer.

To DC: you are making Superman irrelevant. But maybe that’s the plan.

  2. Had this on my pull list but now have dropped it, was looking forward to Diggle’s take on Superman. Not a fan of Daniel writing.

  3. I think I’ll take a break until the new regular team gets announced.

  4. Hopped off after the first Morrison arc, and I’ve never been a superman fan, but somehow I still feel like I want to get into him. With Diggle on for 1 issue and Daniel for one after, seems pointless until the new creative team comes along. I do live Daniel’s art…guy just cant write worth a damn

  5. anyone who loved All Star Superman I suggest you go back a read the Morrison run in its entirety. While not as amazing as All Star, it is quite good on its own. I spent the weekend reading both, and I have to admit I have a new appreciation for the first 18 issues of this title. Like Invisibles this made a ton more sense when read over a day, rather than 1 year & 1/2. Some amazing moments.

  6. This was a straightforward Superman story… and I quite enjoyed it. After Grant’s confusion non-chronological story, I’m happy with just a simple plot and immaculate artwork. I hope Scott Snyder’s run will be likewise accessible to new readers.

  7. Pretty good story, sad that Diggle decided to leave. He would have been a solid writer.

  8. Really really good first issue. Didn’t care for how the first 6 issues turned out, but this is how it should have been from the start. I don’t hate Daniel’s writing, so I’m gonna see how it develops. Diggle’s already got him off to a great start.

  9. Real good read. & it’s gone!

  10. I bought this for Tony Daniel’s art. It’s been the best issue of either Superman or Action that I’ve read since the new 52 started. I want very much to like Superman again but have been so disappointed up until now. I thought Snyder and Lee were going to produce the first readable take on the character since starting over… thanks for proving me wrong!

  11. For all the hype Diggle got and the drama about him leaving, I thought this was just okay. Too much fluff and pages full of big fight scenes, not enough substance.

  12. PotW.
