  1. This going to be worth the big bucks VS the trades?

  2. Hard to make an absolute priced low enough to offset the cost of 12 issues.

I preordered on Amazon with a gold box deal and got it for like $43 -25 dollar gift certificate.

  3. This is also my first non-Alan Moore Absolute.

  4. Very excited that this reprint is finally coming out.

  5. Are most of the other Absolutes this spendy on a per page basis? I was looking forward to this but didn’t anticipate needing to blow $150 on the 25 issue run.

  6. Most absolutes contain 10-12 issues and then some extra goodies. The amount of extra content has always varied quite a bit.

And you don’t have to spend $150. on Amazon you can get it for about a total of $100. Or just get the trades for even less.

  7. Does anyone know if this one or vol.2 absolute will have the JLA/Planetary, Authority/Planetary and Batman/Planetary one-shots? I’ve read must of the series in issues. but stopped around the early 20’s cuz of the delays. I’m trying to decide if I should re-buy/finish it in the trades or absolutes.

  8. Picked this up today since I missed out on the first printing. Worth the money if you are planning to reread the series a couple times. Also these Absolutes look so nice on the shelf…

  9.  WinTheWonderboy

It contains only the main series. None of the one-shots are included. That said only the Batman was any good and none had any impact on the main story. The one-shots are collected in the "Crossing Worlds" tpb if I remember right.
