  1. I read 7 Soldiers (I think that was the title) which was an awesome 3-issue mini with Sean Phillips on art and it had a WWII theme that was similar to “Inglourious Basterds”. I know this book has a very different theme but the cover art looks very similar…any connection? Francis Manapul on art duties has me really wanting to check this out.

    • It’s very different.

      Here is the synopsis:

“… follow seven beautiful women in 6th century Libya. The capitol of an ancient nation is surrounded by the Persian and Byzantine armies, and only these seven soldiers are chosen to save the heir to the kingdom. Seven Warriors. Seven…sexy, gorgeous women! An exquisitely rendered tale in the vein of 300, written by Michaël Le Galli and drawn by Francis Manapul.”

    • You’re thinking of “7 Psychopaths”. “7 Soldiers” was most recently the 30 issue series by Grant Morrison.

      Hoping this book is good!

    • @Urthona You’re completely right! 7 Psychopaths was the three issue mini with the similar cover layout. Oops.

  2. I didn’t think this was coming out this week. Hmmm..

  3. Awful. I couldn’t even finish it.

  4. This and “Seven Psychopaths” are part of a series of seven graphic novels released in France a few years ago. Each books has a different creative team and is set in a different time period, so I don’t know if the stories are linked in any way.
