In my daily tour of the internet I occasionally stumble across gems worth sharing, and this is one such gem. It’s a video in French about the final battle between Batman and Wolverine. It’s set in the future, it’s very Noir (a French word) and has a more definitive ending than any licensed, in continuity comic would ever be likely to give you.
Now based on my standard criteria for judging internet videos, i.e. was it longer than my attention span, I’d given this one passing marks even after 9 minutes. It’s super-stylized with production values that are either legitimately higher than average or are masked by the Noir overtones.
As for everything being in French (with subtitles mind you) the way I see it, Bruce Wayne definitely learned French at some point and Wolverine is Canadian. So I think that settles that dispute right here and now. As for Bruce’s tattoos? That I cannot explain.

This is so French the only thing it’s missing is Jerry Lewis.
The French continue to impress me. I didn’t believe anyone was capable of making Wolverine vs. Batman incredibly depressing, but they pulled it off.
