Last week’s Spider-Ham themed episode might have been the highlight of the season. This one, I’m less interested in. I find Flash Thompson boring.
Here’s how “I Am Spider-Man” is described:
Peter is shocked to discover that Midtown High is putting on a Spider-Man musical starring Flash Thompson as Spider-Man. Things only get worse when Trapster mistakes Flash for the real Spider-Man.
I look forward to your thoughts, opinions, gripes, live-blogging, etc.
Are jokes about Turn Off the Dark still topical?
In a meta sense, I don’t see why not, but I didn’t see this episode, so who knows? In a way, this story is fitting in this Spider-Man’s timeline at this point. Right on time for the development of everyone involved at Peter’s high school. I just hope all is handled well going forward.
This was actually one of the better episodes, IMO. It featured Peter in school and his friends from the comics, MJ & Flash. The super friends Nova, Iron Fist, et al were left on the sidelines and it had a goofy villain from the comics, Trapster. If there was more character writing like this in the series, I’d enjoy it a lot more.
