Transmetropolitan Models for Charity Sketching

So here's the deal. There is a Transmetroplitan art book on its way. All the proceeds for said book, after meeting printing costs, will go to the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund, a worthy cause if ever there was. In order to promote that book, and further their goals of creating a fun environment for folks to work out their sketching muscles, Dr. Sketchy's Anti-Art School hosted an event featuring two models posing as outlaw journalist Spider Jerusalem and his comely filthy assistant Channon. If you're familiar with Warren Ellis and Darick Robertson's masterful series, Transmetropolitan, this will all feel very familiar.

Folks could come out to the event, and sketch the models, seen below. There were various prizes and the best sketches will be submitted for inclusion to the book, which is already brimming with incredible talent like Darick Robertson, Cliff Chiang, Pete Woods, John McCrea, and many, many more. Keep your eye out for the book, because pre-orders have closed.

I've selected a few shots to give you a safe-for-work idea of the evening. Playing Spider is Jiz Lee, and portraying Channon is Ryan Keely, whom I'm told you might recognize from the cover of this month's Penthouse magazine.
