The Return of Hal Jordan… Sort Of

I found this pretty interesting. It appears that Hal Jordan will be making an appearance on Cartoon Network’s new series Duck Dodgers, and will bestow Daffy with a power ring. Hal will the voiced by geek favorite, Kevin Smith. Paul Dini is a writer and producer on the show.

That’s just weird.

    I watched it yesterday, and all I can say is, if you’ve ever wanted to see GL Corps cartoon, this is as close as you’re going to get. Try to catch it if you can. It was pretty cool.

    I saw it. It was cool. Killowog was right on and it was neat to see Ch’p, even squirrelier than he was in the comics.

    I was flipping channels, and I was like…. OH MY GOD… IT’S DAFFY DUCK… BUT NO… IT’S HAL!

    now, being that I have a rather irrational crush on Hal Jordan, I had to watch it. it was just too wonderful. classic cartoon goodness mixed with classic comic goodness.

    They got in most of the corps, and that rocked. all in all, it was a surprise that was well recieved and i think they did a great job.

    Oh, and I got to use one of those semi-useless factoids I learned in my years of reading comics… someone refused to believe there was a squirrel type GL… to the point where I had to look it up. Makes me wish I had those Who’s Who in the DC universe books that I passed up back when i was still working at St. Mark’s Comics.

    I’m such a sucker for those type of books. I had every Offical Guide to the Marvel Universe book they published back in the 80’s.

    I think the show was probably even better having caught it on accident rather than planning and looking forward to the viewing.

    You just don’t expect to see Ganthet on your regular channel flippings. When you do, it’s pure “bonus”
