The new one-sheet poster for Captain America: The First Avenger brings both the Red Skull and the Howling Commandos (of a sort) into the mix. They're avoiding the mask a little, which is probably wise.

I assume that’s Bucky to Steve’s immediate right, and Dum Dum Doogan on his far Left. Who’re the others?

Well in the original Commandos the guy with the beret was Brit Private Percival “Pinky” Pinkerton but I’ve also heard that Union Jack would be in the movie… maybe we are getting a costumeless Jack? We also see Gen Philips and Peggy Carter here…
Looks good, but why isn’t he wearing the mask? That’s my only gripe with these posters so far, and it’s a very minor one.

They’re trying to make Evans into a legitimate megastar, they’re not going to hide his face when it looks like that are they? Speaking of, he doesn’t even look like the same guy that played Human Torch, eh?
Seriously this poster is all WOW, like as if my July 4th couldn’t get any better than with this amazing poster for what will no doubt in my mind (hopefully) be an amazing movie!

I remember feeling really stupid a few months ago asking if that guy was supposed to be Union Jack, and then being told it’s Pinky. I feel better now.
After seeing this poster, I fully expected to see Tarantino’s name on there somewhere. Awesome!
The dude far left is one of those ‘amalgamated for the movie’ typr characters, in that he is Union Jack, but is seemingly fulfilling the Pinky dynamic for the HCs.
Can not wait for this movie, I would like there to be one poster with the helmet, I guess they’ll save that for the Avengers One-sheet..

When I saw Cap kicking in the door and Dum Dum blasting away in the first trailer I knew I wanted to see this. In the newer trailer when Cap has the exchange with the Red Skull and says the line, “I’m just a kid from Brooklyn” I became even more excited. To be honest, I could care less about Union Jack or if Fury was in WWII or not. This just looks like it is going to be one Hell of a film.
