The Early Works of Brian Hurtt: Motorcycle Vs. Robot

This morning, Josh posted an excerpt from Captain Cosmo, a lost comic from young Cullen Bunn. Now we present you with the eighth grade creation of his fellow Sixth Gun creator Brian Hurtt. Unlike Bunn’s tale, this one was untitled. So we’re going to call it “Motorcycle Vs. Robot” because even though most things should to that ideal, this sequence actually lives up to the promise.

You’ll definitely want to check out Hurtt’s self-critique over at his blog, where he also writes about his modern update to those pages. As you can see, he’s gotten even better since middle school.

I think there’s a moral about practice making perfect…decapitations!
