The Check Hits the Fan: Warren Ellis to Write ‘Ultimate Fantastic Four’?

Perennial iFanboy favorite subject, Warren Ellis has returned to the radar. The current rumor mill is heavily suggesting that Ellis will return to American comics, and his former nemesis Marvel Comics, as the writer on Ultimate Fantastic Four starting with issue #7.

    – So Ultimate Fantastic Four will be on the same schedule as The Ultimates?

    – Maybe he’ll finish Ministry of Space first before Ultimate Fantastic Four

    Clever. Is the Ultimates coming out regularly anymore? I mean, There have been 5-6 new Millar books coming out every week haven’t there?

    I suppose that was a Hitch thing then?

    Hitch was able to keep a regular schedule on THE AUTHORITY. I think it is a combination of factors that has kept THE ULTIMATES irregular.

    Warren wouldn’t comment on this on his mailing list, but he did say things were still being worked out.
