Comments

  1. I wasn’t wild about the first young avengers, but this one had me hooked.

  2. The fact that you left Uncanny X-Men #2 off of this list is offensive.

  3. That Hawkeye cover was my favorite of the week. It’s sexy, dangerous, and overwhelmingly cool.

  4. I really like that Legacy cover. Some cool movie quotes snuck in there.

And that Hawkeye cover … Wow.

  5. Again, the haikus are awesome – please keep that up.

  6. The haikus are lame
It’s time for a new gimmick
    Paul makes Japan weep

  7. I wish that the Hans Young Avengers cover had not been a variant so that I could have afforded it . . .

The Hawkeye is fabulous & I love the perspective on The Massive . . .

  8. That Hawkeye cover is so great.

  9. Looking for insight
    Instead find only haikus
    Harsh sting of sadness

We will return to our normal commentary next week.

  11. As awesome as that HAWKEYE cover is (as they all are) I wish they’d colored it in a customary purple hue instead of red, so as not to look so much like an ad for Target.

    • But along with the smoking gun, it illicits a sense of blood in the eyes. Similar to the classic James Bond screen shot. At least that’s what I got from it. Of course, it’s all interpretive.

Unless the victim/viewer is Klingon. In that case, purple works.

Oh that’s right, I went there.

    • It looks like they are done with purple for a bit. It makes sense if you think about it. #1-6 are the purple covers and they basically make tpb 1. The red series (7 was red, 9 through 11 also seem to be) will likely be trade 2, then a new color for 3.

    • You guys are right, that makes sense. And now, I don’t know why, but I suddenly have an urge to go buy a Klingon action figure at Target. Maybe they sell trades there, too…
