‘The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes!’ – S02E26 – “Avengers Assemble!”

Well, this is it: the end of what I consider to be the all-time best Marvel cartoon. I’m sad to see it go, but I’m glad we got two fantastic seasons of great stories, great characters, and great action, all done in the classic Marvel style. This show really felt like the old school Avengers stories that I loved reading as a kid, and for that I am grateful.

Here’s how “Avengers Assemble!” is described:

From the very moment of their team’s inception, The Avengers have fought against super-villains, time-travelling conquerors and even shape-shifting alien invaders. But now they must bring forth an army of nearly all their allies to face their greatest challenge yet — Galactus, the devourer of countless worlds and civilizations, and his quartet of heralds drawn from the very elements of nature.

I look forward to your thoughts, opinions, gripes, live-blogging, etc.

  1. So sad to see this go but damn I can’t wait to watch this one.

  2. Everything Conor said. This show was great. Lots of credit to Chris Yost & company.

It’s too bad Marvel and Jeph Loeb felt the need to have a show that they got ALL the credit for.

  3. Four heralds… they may have found one of the only cool original ideas from the Heroes Reborn books to use….

  4. I am gonna miss this show.

  5. This show is awesome! I always start fan-boying when I see a older character like Michael Korvak Captain Mar-vell. I think that the new show will be just as good, fingers crossed.

  6. SO WHAT’s NEXT?

What are they calling the new show? When does it premiere?

  7. Fun episode. This was a great series, and I’ll really miss it!
