Controversy! Originally, Josh Keaton, who voiced Spider-Man for Spectacular Spider-Man, did the voice of Spider-Man for this episode. But sometime later he was swapped out for Drake Bell, who currently voices Spider-Man on Ultimate Spider-Man.
Here’s how “Along Came a Spider…” is described:
While trying to earn back the trust of the public following Veranke’s defeat, Captain America teams up with the equally mistrusted Spider-Man to fight the Serpent Society when they try to rescue Viper and Cobra.
I look forward to your thoughts, opinions, gripes, live-blogging, etc.
Josh Keaton > Drake Bell
Infinitely.
I concur.
I miss that cartoon.
Josh Keaton is one of if not the best voice of Spider-Man
Agreed. I only hope they give us the alternate voice over on the blu-ray/DVD release.
I am excited for this episode. How many seasons was Justice League?
Justice League was 2 seasons and Justice League Unlimited was 2 seasons. So, basically 4 seasons. And they’re awesome 🙂
I love the Serpent Society! This episode was so much fun.
Fantastic episode.
Agreed, one of the best of the series.
Don’t care whose voice it is, can’t wait to watch this one!
I like this Spider-Man design. Also this almost made me cry.
Exactly the Cap-ness that was lacking from the Avengers movie.
My own personal H-E-Double-Hockey sticks!
Cable guide said, Avengers EMH,” but Disney XD was showing Kathy Lee’s Kids.
Argh! I hope this episode is on-demand soon.
Oh well, I do have some new comics to read on the train tomorrow.
DisneyXD usually re-runs the Sunday episodes on Monday afternoon/evening, too. So check your listings…
Oh, if only the Spidey in this episode could be the one in the Ultimate cartoon. I liked the way they animated his movements. He swung in at the start in the Amazing Fantasy #15 cover pose for instance. I want to like the Ultimate cartoon, but it’s just too silly for me.
great episode! cant believe they are cancelling this show.
