Smallville – S07E09 – Gemini

Tonight’s episode: “Gemini.”

Smallville‘s back and… wait. Has it really been almost a month since the last new episode?

Talk about a momentum killing break — and this one wasn’t even strike related! Oh, well. At least the strike means I’ll probably get to watch this one tonight rather than over the weekend.

Huzzah!

Comments

  1. Smallville’s back??? Really? Please say you’re not teasing us, Conor? I’d almost given up hope that all good telly had finished!

About a week before the last episode aired, I read somewhere that Smallville had something like 5 episodes left that it could air, so if that’s true we’ve got about a month of shows to go (fingers crossed by then the strike will be over).

  2. Oh, wow! That was a darn good episode. Some excellent twists that I didn’t see coming. And some stuff that I should have. I thought the Julian stuff was just bad writing and here it was something clever. It also offered up some interesting insight into what is going on inside of Lex’s mind. Then that last twist. This was very impressive.

  3. 7 episodes left to air! We might almost get a full season out of this baby!

  4. Brilliant episode!

Perhaps people will let the stories play out now before jumping to angry conclusions…

    (Probably not)

    😉

    Loved Clark’s pseudo-flying.

The Jimmy/Chloe stuff was really good, too.

The twist ending? Made me go from gagging at the Clark/Lana stuff to saying “oh, shit!”

  5. Holy crap! Just got round to watching it… Blown away! (pun fully intended)

I’m staggered at good this season has been. The characters are all just bang on. Jimmy and Chloe in the lift was brilliantly played out, and far more subtle than Smallville used to allow. In previous years you couldn’t have a character feeling an emotion without a song in the background detailing that exact emotion, now they seem to be giving the audience a little credit and just getting on with tight storytelling.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Lois is FINALLY Lois! And kudos to the writers, because it makes all the difference. Instead of being a quirky character who’s Lois Lane in name only, she’s finally a relevant part of the Smallville universe, and rightfully so. Erica Durance was fulffy at best when she joined the show, but now she has something to do she’s showing some damn fine acting.

And, I’m sorry, but am I the only one who thinks that Welling IS Superman at this point? Brandon Routh was great, don’t get me wrong, but Welling’s doing a fantastic job!

And the twist?… Oh baby!!! I look forward to DrWally’s comments!

  6. SMALLVILLE’S CHLOE SULLIVAN IN DCU COMICS

Chloe Sullivan, a character created for The CW’s Smallville television series, will be appearing in the DC Universe for the first time next spring.

Chloe will be Lois’ cousin in the her DCU version and will likely debut in April’s Superman #675.

Allison Mack, who plays Chloe on television, told The Continuum she was excited to see her character in Superman’s comic-book world and even the film franchise.

“The idea that if anybody plays this character in the future or if she’s in some other projects, they’ll have to look like me or have a likeness of me is really cool,” Mack said. “Really cool.”
