SDCC 2013: Comic Trailer: AFTERLIFE WITH ARCHIE

Our most anticipated new series of 2013 has a new motion comic style trailer, leaving us even more ravenous for Afterlife with Archie. The ongoing series by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (Archie Meets Glee, Broadway’s Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark) and artist Francesco Francavilla (Detective Comics, Black Beetle) pits Archie Andrews against an undead Riverdale populace.

It all starts with one dead dog and the tragic fall of a felt crown.

Let’s take a look, courtesy of The Hollywood Reporter.

Look for it in October.

  3. I’ve never read any Archie books, but there is no way I will miss out on this.

  4. And we wonder why so many kids are screwed up….this is just disturbing.

    • To be fair, kids were screwed up WAYYY before this was even thought of.

    • Well this certainly wont help…..dont get me wrong, it is such a crazy idea, it might just work, its just that most people think of Archie Comics as for kids, and they certainly are not that anymore.(but i guess that goes for most comics today)

  5. Awwww! They broke my cardinal rule of entertainment: don’t kill the dog!

  6. How hilariously awesome is this?

I’m definitely afraid… that they’ve already got my money!

    🙂 🙂

  7. Sold!

  8. I really like Francesco Francavilla, but this doesn’t look quiet right. not artwork wise, it just feels weird seeing the folks of river dale as a reanimated corpse

  9. Even in death Jughead can’t stop eating.
