San Diego Comic-Con 2006: DAY FOUR – Live Updates

Hey everybody, we’re alive and still in SD – We just finished talking to Grant Morrison and I thought I’d do a quick post to let you know what’s been going on since we signed off last night, click through to hear what’s been happening!

• As expected last night, we didn’t get a chance to record a podcast or get our pics and notes up from Saturday, but not to worry, once we get back home, we’ll do a big Saturday/Sunday wrap up post with all the news and observations.

• Last night’s meet up was a blast! We were psyched to see so many iFanboy fans show up and hang out. We hung out and drank and talked comics until way too late. Thanks to everyone for stopping by and we look forward to the next one!

• This morning, we had to get up early to check out of the hotel and then headed to the con for the big Comics Podcasting panel, where Josh did a kickass job up on the panel along with the other esteemed Comics Podcasters. I recorded the entire panel and will be posting it for those who couldn’t make it to the con or the panel.

• The rest of the day we’ve been roaming the floor, talking to creators and fans and drinking in the last waning moments of the con, or the hours of desperation as I like to call it. We’re close to calling it a day and we’re going to get a nice dinner and some ice cream before Josh and Lindsay head back to LA and Ron and Conor get on a redeye back to New York.

It’s been a blast covering the convention, if you’ve been reading, thanks and we’ll get the pics and notes from Saturday and Sunday up as soon as we can, if we don’t collapse from lack of sleep first. Also stay tuned for some very exciting fun stuff from iFanboy!

  1. Fantastic. Glad you guys had a good time.

  2. I second that. I would have read the post, but it’s WAY too damn hot to sit in front of the computer and read. Infact, I’m falling asleep just typing this. Heat…making me…soo…sleepy. *THUD*

  3. Holy shit! I just sat down and started reading the updates for last few days. Damn that was a lot of reading. But I must say great job keeping us informed. I almost felt like I was there.

P.s. Its approaching midnight and it’s still damn hot! Hot with like, 90% humidity.

  4. It was great to meet you guys!

  5. Here’s something you ultra-intelligencia might find interesting.

I’m with the guy who said ‘shut up and give me some action.’

  6. Hey, it was really great to finally match up your faces with the voices. I was the guy at Tivoli that just ran in for a few minutes whilst waiting for a table at a restaurant down the street. Thanks for the nifty sticker! You guys should head out to WonderCon in San Francisco next year – I’ll buy the drinks.

  7. yeah! totally cool meeting you guys. If they ever DO move Wizard to LA, come out and I will buy the first round…I’m on a budget…
