Preview: Worlds’ Finest #8

We kick off 2013 with some rooftop intrigue in Greenwich Village in this week’s Worlds’ Finest #8! But the dynamic duo of Huntress and Power Girl aren’t the only out-of-this-world showstoppers to have settled in New York. There’s also Joe’s Pizza and Rocco’s Pasticceria Rocco, favorite culinary haunts for Helena, and maybe Paul Levitz himself.

Of course, there’s much more than a great New York slice on the menu, as Huntress finds herself in the crosshairs of some trigger-happy goons.

Power Girl and Huntress have been searching for a connection to their world, Earth 2, for years, but now they’ve kicked a hornet’s nest of trouble and the hunters become the hunted!

Now, how’s about that preview?

Comments

  1. I really hate Power Girl’s logo.

  2. This started well but has just left me cold the last few issues.

  3. Oogly Power Girl costume and oogly artwork.

  4. I know it’s sacrilege to many, but even after giving this book a chance, I still find Helena Bertinelli to be an infinitely more interesting character than Helena Wayne. I also feel like Power Girl lost a lot of what made her special with the New 52 reboot. :-/

Pity. I really wanted to like this book.

  5. It pains me to see Amanda Connor and Jimmy Palmiottis run basically dismissed. This doesn’t even seem like the same Powergirl that we have grown to love. Can’t wait til they get rid of this New 52 garbage and go back.

    • Everyone keeps saying the new 52 is here to stay, but I find very few people that are enjoying the reboot. Based on what I’ve heard and read about DC sales lately, I would think DC would be crazy not to reboot the reboot in the near future. Besides some of the a Batman books, most of the other stuff is just crap.
