Preview: VALEN THE OUTCAST #8

Let’s address the elephant in the room, right off the bat. Yes, I indulged in a well-documented flirtation with necromancy during the late 90s. I won’t deny the allure, but there are certainly fluffier dark arts to pursue. By the end of next week’s Valen the Outcast #8, Korrus Null may wish he’d taken up philately. Or maybe he won’t. Souls are an investment, and that can go either way.

Ball’s in your court, Valen.

VALEN THE OUTCAST #8

Final issue! All great journeys must come to an end…The assault on Wraithendal continues as Valen Brand’s quest to reclaim his stolen soul from the necromancer Korrus Null reaches its shocking conclusion. Don’t miss the final chapter of the epic fantasy series from fan-favorite writer Michael Alan Nelson (28 Days Later, Robert E. Howard’s Hawks of Outremer) and rising star Deadpool artist Matteo Scalera!

Now, how’s about that preview?

Comments

  1. Wow… love that alternate cover!

  2. This book is really, really good. I’m not even a big fan of sword and sorcery stuff either. Scalera’s art is as good as it gets in comics, and Michael Alan Nelson is not only a fantastic writer, but an extremely nice guy who cares about his readers.

Buy this comic. Do it. DO IT.

  3. I was hoping this got picked up to be an ongoing. It was not the best book that was being put out but it was a great middle of the road book. The art was always a 4 and even a 5 at some times. The writing fell off abit to me went to a 4 to a 3. But that seemed to change when they said it was only going to be a 8 part series. So was it rushed to an ending? If you haven’t checked it out yet get it in trade. It will be worth the money.
