Preview: The Activity #5

In and of itself, The Activity won’t maintain your bowel health in the same way as the yogurt of a similar name, but you should consume it with regularity. Because, here’s the thing. Modern warfare isn’t pretty, but it sure is gorgeous. And when we say gorgeous, we mean really, truly gorgeous. In addition to a demolitions expert, every spec ops team should have a Mitch Gerads to pack the explosive visuals with some shock and awe.

Due on shelves this week, The Activity #5 offers up Locke’s origin story as well as some Taiwanese prison drama. Team Omaha is caught red-handed, but they’re pretty good with the cold shoulder. But how long can even the most hardened operatives keep that up in a brokedown palace like this? Okay, Brokedown Palace was Thailand, but we’re thinking Taiwan is still pretty high on the drama-meter, even for these grunts. Claire Danes.

    If you need a break from superheroes, give The Activity a shot. It’s very good, and each issue is pretty stand-alone.

    Looks great. I was on the fence about continuing with this book but I finally read #4 last night and it was the best issue so far. Now I can’t wait to get this next issue.

    I have been reading the Activity since issue 3, and picked up 1 and 2 the same day. This is an awesome comic, read my review of issue #4.

    I frequently recommend this book to those in the comic shops when we talk comics. Keep up the Great Work on this book!
