    I am enjoying this series a great deal, but I feel that you almost have to be a fan of the Avengers TV show to “get” this comic.

    I am a huge fan of the original show, and was looking forward to seeing what Waid would do with the characters (especially based on the dynamic of Ruse). However, I dropped the series after only two issues. It seemed like Waid was trying too hard to ape the show. I don’t know, it didn’t catch me and there’re too many other tempting titles out there. Honestly, the art didn’t help . . .
