Small week for me. Really excited for the Blackest night conclusion and ASM is always a good read. Think I’m gonna skip all the Second Coming stuff.

This is the quietest week I’ve seen in years. I have less then 10 books on my pull list. I’m astounded.
Stupid fifth weeks.
Amazing Spider-man, Fantastic Four, X-Force, X-Men: Second Coming, Detective Comics, and since it is a light week I will also pick of the She Hulk book.

Last week I successfully predicted the Pick would be "Uncanny X-Men" by Ron.
This week I predict it will be only 1 of 2 books: "Blackest Night #8" or "Detective Comics #863." Knowing Josh’s taste, it will be 1 of those 2.

It’s kind of a normal week for me since I’m still getting some books that deserve to be dropped…come on JLA…I’m pullin’ for ya.
BQ: The last thing I ate was oatmeal from Starbucks. It’s not yet noon here in CA.
I actually like the smaller weeks. Maybe I’ll be able to get through my pile by the weekend.
Most looking forward to Blackest Night (natch), Amazing Spider-Man and the Juggernault showing up, FF, Incorruptable (I like it better than Irredeemable, actually), second-to-last issue of The Sword, JLA, Rasl, and Franken-Castle.
I’d also like to throw a plug in there for the Last Stand of New Krypton storyline – this is Classic with a capital C Superman stuff. If World of New Krypton and that whole thing threw you off the book, you can pick up these issues and just have a f’n blast! It’s as good as Johns stuff on the character. Highly, highly recommended.
BQ: A bottle of water and salt-less mini pretzels. Dieting sucks balls (which aren’t on my diet, either)

Man that is truly a quiet week, and I’m a tad disappointed especially with a holiday weekend. Does this make POW easier or tougher?? Still, Blackest Night, Detective, Spidey and FF is a nice quartet along with some other decent stuff.
BQ: Cadburys chocolate mini eggs
This was going to be a completely anemic week for me, seeing as how I was only going to pick up 5 or so books. However, I’m going to be picking up a few extra things, like the Cloak and Dagger one shot , since it features Mark Brooks on art. Otherwise, I’m really looking forward to the final Blackest Night chapter, as I am the beginning of X-Men: Second Coming. The final issue of Necrosha is also coming out, and while I haven’t read the last 2 or 3 issues of it in X-Force, I think I’m going to get this one just to see how it ends.
BQ: A McDonalds Souther Chicken Sandwich. I’ve been in the mood for a Chick-Fil-A sandwich for awhile, but being as there are none even remotely near me, I have to settle for this substitution. But it’s just not the same. IT’S JUST NOT THE SAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry, I started to lose my sanity there a bit
Oh, and Punisher! Mustn’t forget that awesomeness..
A nice light week of AWESOME! Amazing Spider-Man, Blackest Night, Detective Comics(I’m gonna drop this untill Rucka and Williams come back in a few months), Fantastic Four, and the Punisher has against all odds become my most anticipated book.

A surprisingly big fifth week for me at 7 books. I’m looking forward to the new Sword (it sucks that the series ends with issue 24, but man, is this some good stuff), Inhumans, ASM, Blackest Night and Detective. I may splurge and pick up the next Preacher trade if I’m feeling frisky, but I think my wallet may overrule that.
BQ: An oatmeal chocolate chip cookie. Oh yes, it was delicious.
Blackest Night! I’m glad this is ending, great stuff, but I need to move on. Rasl! amazing!!! and the Fantastic Four!

Is Second Coming a terrible jump-on point for someone who hasn’t read anything but Whedon’s Astonishing run since the Morrison New X-Men days? I’ve been casually reading X-Men related articles for years, but haven’t cracked a book open in quite some time. Maybe it’s all this movie news, but I’ve been jonesing for some mutant action lately.
BQ: Strawberry Pop-Tarts and coffee.
I can’t decide whether to pick up the Second Coming books or to wait for the HC. I want to read it now but A HC would go nicely with my Messiah Complex HC. What do you guys think.
