Comments

  1. Hmmm… makes me wish that they had just based the ULTIMATE universe within the confines of the movie universe.

  2. I’m wondering who’s making these deals — is this a Quesada deal?

  3. There has to be some involvement on Quesada’s part as well as I’m sure there’s spill over from Avi Arad.

  4. the movies were pretty good, i think we can trust these guys to take over UXM. whats the worst that could happen…

  5. I think I remember a story a while back that said Marvel was hiring a new talent broker who would get new kinds of talent into the Marvel fray. That person probably comes up with ideas of who to go after, Joe approves it, and Arad uses his contacts to set up a meeting.

What’s cool about this kinda stuff though, is that you know the people are doing it because they want to, not because it’s a job. That might be a double edged sword though, because they might not necessarily be good at it.

Has Singer actually written anything, or just directed.

Wait, I just looked. He has story credit on each of the movies.

I’ll give approval, as if it mattered.

That’s a very good point. Whedon and Smith and Singer don’t do these jobs for the money.

That’s a refreshing change of pace.

  7. I agree with the double edge sword: I believe people like Singer do write because they WANT to — not strictly to earn a living. So, that’s cool. BUT, when the paycheck job of Hollywood calls, the fans tend to have to wait for issues to come out.

  8. Whoa…. Ender’s Game

  9. I’d be shocked if Ender’s Game ever came to reality. I just thank god that the project with Jake Lloyd attached didn’t happen.

  10. I’d be shocked too. child on child violence isn’t something you see on the big screen too much. Except maybe City of God.
