With San Diego only a few weeks away I figured we’d get a thread going for all the information you need to know about iFanboy at San Diego Comic-Con 2007.
We’ve got a couple of fun things planned.
First, iFanboy will be appearing on three panels this year:

5:30-7:00 Comic Book Podcasting: One Year Later – Since the first gathering of comic book podcasters last year, podcasting has become a mainstay in the comic book community. With more showing up every day, podcasts have become just as big a part of reading comics as going to the shop on Wednesdays. Hear from the voices behind some of your favorite shows. This year’s panel includes podcasters Scott Hinze (Fanboy Radio), Jon Towry (Comic Talk Cafe), Jimmy Aquino (Comic News Insider), Mr. Phil (Indie Spinner Rack), Josh Flanagan (iFanboy.com), Ian Levenstein (Comic Timing), John Mayo (Comic Book Page) and will be moderated by comic book writer and retailer Vito Delsante (Stuck, JSA Classified). 6:00-7:00 How To Become an Internet Geek Super-Star – It is the age of video on the Internet, and geeks are leading the charge! If you have interesting stories to tell or a unique take on nerd culture, there is an audience out there for you. Ben Cote (DivX Stage6) will moderate a wide-discussion on how some of the budding stars of the online world found a following of like-minded fans. Guests include Jarett Cale and Geoff Lapaire (“Jeremy” and “Kyle,” PurePwnage), Jonathan London (Geekscape), Ron Richards (iFanboy) and Zadi Diaz (JetSetShow). Room 30CDE

1:30-2:30 Podcasting 101 – Podcasting is becoming the premier way to share your thoughts with the world. Join podcasters Joe Gonzalez (Comic News Insider), Conor Kilpatrick (iFanboy.com), Ron Richards (iFanboy.com), and Jon Towry (Comic Talk Cafe) as they discuss starting a podcast from the ground up, with topics ranging from “What kind of podcast should I start?” to “How do I build an audience?” There will be a live podcast demo and an audience Q&A as well. Room 30CDE
Friday Night!
Come hang out and party with the guys from your favorite IPTV shows — iFanboy and The Totally Rad Show! We’ll be at Basic hanging out the whole night, along with a host of special guests! The first 66 people to come get free drinks and there will be special giveaways for everyone in attendance. Good news if you are underage! Basic is a restaurant so you can stop by and hang out before 9pm (although it would probably be best if you had someone over 21 with you)! RSVP here!
Of course we’ll be running around the convention center all week shooting our show so if you see us, say hi. We’ll have stickers.
And we may have one more exciting announcement to make – hopefully soon. And hopefully before the con.

I’m so excited about the con. I’ll definitely be looking for you guys on the Con floor, and I’m really considering the podcasting 101 panel?/workshop? or whatever you wanna call it.
Cool. How did you decide who went to what panel? Any chance of an appearance like this during the NY con next year?
We wrestled for it. I dunno, we just talked about it, and figured it out. No real science invloved.

Well, there’s a chance that I could fall into a radioactive pool and get superpowers. I mean, it’s a slim chance, but it’s not entirely impossible.

I’m not a fan of TRS (I keep giving it chances and it fails me) but at least they convinced me to buy Ultimates in hardcover. Hopefully it’s a good show and Albrecht and Trachtenberg don’t screw it up.

San Diego is roughly a 9 hour drive. I have Friday off of work but not Saturday. I will know soon enough. At the moment everything is in flux.
I think I’m going to drive down for the day on Friday, fingers crossed that the live Pick of the Week Podcast happens sometime that day.
So…Podcasting 101 conflicts with the Heroes panel, while Podcasting One Year Later conflicts with the Lost panel.

I hope one of you guys attends the DC Nation panel. I have to hear what Didio et all say about the so-so reactions to Countdown. I’m afraid if the panel goes sour we wont hear it on the DC Comics Podcasts!?

Apparently, you can watch content from this year’s show through your xbox 360. Microsoft and Warner Bros will be bringing you content from the show, which will likely include their panels.

it’s saturday–I spent all of my day in ballroom 20 (Heroes and BSG) and now at room taking a nap. still on for top gun at 6:30?
Is there a place on line were we can listen tot he audio from the podcasters panels?
Hopefully I’ll be able to get the podcast panel audio sorted out this week, and available. Not sure it’ll be the best recording of all time, but I’ll let you know.
