Holmes Inc. Goes to School – for FREE

Here's the short version. The long version can be found here. Ty Templeton is one hell of a cartoonist, and an instructor at the Toronto Cartoonists Workshop (Canadians!), came up with the idea of Holmes Inc. In this little story, the descendants of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson serve as agents in Holmes Incorporated, solving crimes, fighting bad guys, and that kind of thing, but instead of the story taking place then, the story takes place now.

Then there's the book. The students in the class, in order to better understand how comics are made, worked together, writing, drawing, trapping beavers, and eventually we got Holmes Inc. #1. I know what you're thinking. But these students? They're good. It's a fine looking book, and a ripping, fun set of stories.

Plus, you can read the ENTIRE ISSUE FOR FREE here, on Graphicly.

Then, while you're at it, you can go ahead and check out the second issue, just released, also for FREE.

You kind of can't beat that.
