‘Green Lantern: The Animated Series’ – S01E18 – “Prisoner of Sinestro”

Green Lantern_The Animated Series_Prisoner of Sinestro

Here’s how “Prisoner of Sinestro” is described:

Hal Jordan loves having Sinestro around because, at heart, the senior Lantern is a rule-bender, when the situation calls for it – something Hal entirely understands.  But when Sinestro starts behaving erratically, Hal has no choice but to lock him up.

I look forward to your thoughts, opinions, gripes, live-blogging, etc.

Comments

  1. I wonder if he’ll end up being a villain of some sort.

Seriously though, I admire the writers of the show for not using Sinestro right out of the gate. Still, that guy’s gotta show up in a GL show sooner or later.

  2. POTENTIAL SPOILERS

I’m glad they hinted at it, but didn’t do the full heel turn on Sinestro. Hopefully, the show will have enough time to let it progress organically.

  3. What I liked?
Seeing Sinestro, seeing Sinestro’s solution at the end, seeing more gradual romance between Razer and Aya.

    What I didn’t like?
A body possession plot where we see our heroes “possessed” into doing evil things… boring to me.

  4. Ron Perlman as Sinestro is casting I didn’t see coming, but I think works pretty well.

  5. This show is really rock solid.

  6. Good show. Sinestro’s reach around on the Lantern oath of not killing works for me. Intelligence and imagination will always get you where you want to be. Not saying it’s right, but you have to give credit where credit’s due.

Also liking Razer’s “righteous rage” for his status as Red Lantern. I hope he can learn to express his affection for Aya. It’s not good to be alone.
