Get Infinite Kung Fu. Seriously.

Top Shelf's big release at next week's San Diego Comic-Con is the massive Infinite Kung Fu by Kagan McLeod. How big is it? It's so big that Top Shelf can go ahead and let you read the first 250 pages for free.

To get you all excited, the creators also put together this trailer to give you a little flavor for Infinite Kung Fu.

And finally, I'd like to tell you a little story. Way back when iFanboy was an underappreciated and little read labor of love, one of the first indie comic reviews I did was for a single issue of Infinite Kung Fu, and even back then, I liked it. See, McLeod has been working on this book for over 10 years. I can relate. Way back then, before I knew how to write about comics all that well, I saw something fluid and alive in his artwork, and it's still there today.

Go give it a glance. It's definitely something different and you've got 250 free pages to convince you.

Added to the top of the list.

  3. Oh man, this looks great.  The art style reminds me Canete, who’s one of my faves.  I’ll definitely be picking this bad boy up.  I love me some good kung fu!

  4. I know it’s probably not easy to make, but more comics should have awesome trailers like this. Makes me way more pumped for a book than a written solicitation.

  5. Holy whatziz, that looks awesome. What a great throw-back trailer! I’m sold!

  6. I had no idea this existed. 250 pages for free? They’re going to hook me in. This looks great.

Loved the trailer too. He should look into an animated version of this, it would be glorious, even in B&W.

  7. Poor guy must have suffered through Highlander jokes all his life.

  8. Saw a preview of the comic a little while back that was at some random point and didn’t care for it. After reading from the start with the 250 page preview, I like it a lot better and will likely buy it when I find it.

  9. This looks sick.

  10. @mikegraham6  I would have if it still existed.

  11. hey my post got deleted.  Oh well.  Yes this will be an awesome book.  It’s been a pleasure to see McLeod’s ink brush/hiphop tagging style coalesce over the years into something amazing.   go read the free stuff!   And check out the webpage  http://www.infinitekungfu.com   Especially the Bonus area where he does movie reviews!!
