As we glimpse this exclusive preview of next month’s Archer & Armstrong #3, let’s ponder the inner workings of that unholiest of covens, the Sisters of Perpetual Darkness. What kind of vows does such a nunja take amidst their extensive training in melee combat? What foul secrets do they protect, stationed in Rome, so close to Peter’s seat? For whom do they pray, and upon whom do they prey?

I live about two blocks from a convent, so this next one’s gonna leave me extra vigilant for the next week or so. Regular nuns can be intimidating enough, especially when you’re in the third grade. Give them a sai and a license to kill, and that’ll put the fear of God in ya. Which explains devout young Archer’s reticence to go on the offensive. Luckily, he’s got Armstrong, the Uncle Buck of conspiracy busters to point him in the right direction. That’s more valuable than either angel or demon perched on his shoulders.
