CONTEST: Want to Write or Draw a SKULLKICKERS Story? It Could Happen.

The creative team behind Image Comics’ Skullkickers series has thrown down the gauntlet for would-be writers and artists. You’re gonna want to pick it up.

Regular readers will know that between each new arc of Skullkickers, there’s a single issue anthology of short stories called “Tavern Tales.” These short stories are scripted and drawn by guest writers and artists. If you have the knack, you could end up supplying one of the shorts an upcoming “Tavern Tales” issue of Skullkickers. That’s your work on the shelves in a legit publication from Image Comics.

STEP ONE: DOWNLOAD OUR CONTEST RELEASE FORM.

FILL IT OUT AND MAKE SURE IT’S ATTACHED TO YOUR EMAIL SUBMISSION. If it isn’t, we won’t even look at your submission. We’ll trash it instantly and you’ll be disqualified.

STEP TWO: CREATE AN AWESOME STORY PITCH or ART SAMPLE COMIC PAGES.

STEP THREE: EMAIL IT TO US BEFORE APRIL 30, 2012.

STEP FOUR: CROSS YOUR FINGERS, or KEEP SUBMITTING MORE AWESOME STUFF.

STEP FIVE: FIND OUT IF YOU WON AND CELEBRATE or DROWN YOUR SORROWS, AS APPROPRIATE.

We triple dog dare you.
