Behind the Scenes of the IRON MAN: EXTREMIS Motion Comic

With Iron Man 2 looming on the horizon in movie theaters this May, Marvel looks to the golden avenger to provide the subject matter for the next motion comic from Marvel.  Using Warren Ellis and Adi Granov's Iron Man: Extremis comic as the source material, this motion comic from Marvel looks to be the most computer animation-y of all the motion comics yet.  The below video, provided to us by Marvel, gives you a behind the scenes look at the new series.

As with previous motion comics, Iron Man: Extemis will be available in iTunes, the XBox360 on XBox Live and the Zune Marketplace.  The first episode comes out later this week on April 16th.  You can get more information and see more about Iron Man: Extremis over at Marvel's website

Marvel provided the following description of the above video:

  1. It looks really good, though for some reason they seem to have carried over the "Marvel coloring" which people hate.

That man was cursed with a horrible name.

  2. looks more like a movie, then motion comic

  3. Reminds me that I need to eventually pick up Extremis (which seems to be the only notable story from the last volume of Iron Man).

  4. This guy actually steals lines of dialogue out of Warren Ellis’ mouth, straight from the Extremis documentary on the Iron Man DVD. Made me laugh.

@NawidA – Yes, you must read Extremis. It is absolutely fantastic, period! Have you read any of Matt Fraction’s current run? If not give the hardcover a try that just came out – it houses the first 19 issues of that arc and is very good. But Extremis is far and away the best Iron Man story I’ve ever read. In fact, it contends in my all time favourite Marvel stories ever.
