Student Film: ‘BATMAN: Block by Block’

To pass the time until this summer’s DC event, or the release of Batman Begins, you can check this out: a student film using CGI Legos about Batman. It stars Adam West as Batman and Mark Hamill as The Joker and combines a lot of the various incarnations Batman has taken over the years in one short, both visually and cinematically. You can check out the trailer on the site.

Or, if you have BitTorrent — you can download the entire short here.

Adam West will always be Batman to me. I’m sure the folks at Lego love this… and hate it at the same time.

  1. Well, that certainly puts my senior video to shame…

  2. I just can’t stand Adam West as Batman. I’m starting to think I’m going to dismiss the “it’s so bad, it’s good” theory. I think if they had gotten Kevin Conroy for this, I’d like it a lot more. That is the voice of Batman in my head.

  3. blasphemer!

  4. Adam West is Batman.

    Michael Keaton is Batman.

    Kevin Conroy is Batman.

    There are many Batmans.

But the guy from the Super Friends? Not Batman.

  5. yeah but is Casey Kasem Robin?

  6. NO!

  7. The guy from Superfriends WAS Adam West for at least some of the time.

  8. How about Val Kilmer or George Clooney?

  9. Adam West was the voice of Batman in SUPER POWERS, which was what SUPER FRIENDS became after it was converted into a marketing tool for a line of toys. I mean the other guy, Olan Soule.

Kilmer is definitely not. Clooney might not have been bad if he hadn’t been directed to act like a buffoon.
