This is another big week of books, and it seems like they never stop. This week I’m looking forward to what will most likely be my last issue of Booster Gold, and the next Minx book — The New York Four. Also, if you’re in the mood for a really inside comics story — there’s the trade paperback release of CSI: Dying in the Gutters in which someone tries to kill Joe Quesada at a Las Vegas Comic Con and they end up killing Rich Johnston by accident. The suspects (and the murderer) are some of comics’ biggest names and it was actually pretty fun to read. The reveal is funny.

I’ve been really trying to trim my stack down to something I can reasonably tackle in a week’s time. It’s not that I can’t afford it in this time of economic crisis (though saving several bucks each week is nothing to complain about), I just finally realized I can’t handle a pull list of 50+ titles with the occasional TPB/HC/OGN mixed in. There’s a lot of stuff that’s wrapped up recently or will wrap up soon, too (Whedon/Cassaday’s Astonishing, American Splendor Season 2, Teen Titans Year One, Omega the Unknown, etc.) that I’m trying hard not to replace, but all the fun Final Crisis spinoffs that Morrison and Johns are writing are making that difficult.

BQ: I am actually going to go an advance screening of it tomorrow night at Mann’s Chinese Theatre. I hope it’s good, I loved the first one.
Looking forward to Iron Man, Secret Invasion and Powers (assuming I can remember what’s going on). Batman Confidential and Huntress, continuing, and I’ll probably give ‘Eternals’ another shot. Probably dropping ‘Captain Britain’ since the second issue wasn’t as interesting as the first to me. And I’m torn about ‘Captain America: White’ — will probably wait for the trade, b/c I’d think the Loeb/Sale stuff reads best that way. I do find the ‘CSI’ arc really tempting; I remember hearing about that on the podcast when it came out in issues and it sounded awesome.
BQ: I don’t know if I’ll make it this weekend, but I’m looking forward to Hellboy II. I liked the first movie back when I knew nothing about the comic (or comics at all), and the trailer for the sequel looks terrific.

I think this is my largest pull list ever. I’m really looking forward to Action, JSA, and Huntress: YO. Plus, grabbing Sonic for my nephew.
BQ: I should be going at midnight Thursday night. I just got the Director’s Cut of Hellboy for 9 bucks at Wal-Mart. 3 discs. $9. Pure awesome.
This is my biggest week in a long while. Kinda scary. Secret Invasion leads the pack but Peter David doing a Hulk book(again) has me all kinds of stoked.
BQ: Eventually, probably not this weekend though.

I felt like I was clicking "PULL" forever in the comics section. Definitely have lots of books this week. Most looking forward to Action Comics, SI, and Guardians of the Galaxy. And it’s awesome that Powers is coming out this week, although I think I need to read a couple back issues to see what’s going on.
BQ: Who’s got two thumbs and is going to Hellboy 2 on opening day? This guy.
Action Comics, JSA and Captain Britain top my list.

Light week for me, only 4 books: Batman Confidential, Detective Comics, Young Liars and Joker’s Asylum. Despite being hyped to uber-Batmania right now, I’m most looking forward to Young Liars. Although Jason Aaron on a Bat-book is all kinds of cool!
BQ: Probably not. I love (most) of Del Toro’s films but really didn’t like the first Hellboy movie. Since then, however, I was given the Hellboy Volume 1 which is beautiful, so who knows. Might wait for the DVD. Besides, I need to save my money for the 4 or 5 times I’ll be seeing Dark Knight!
10 books for me this week, which may be the most I’ve picked up in one week this year. I can’t even pick a specific book I’m looking forward to most, although having three Johns books in one week is always good. Also looking forward to checking out Jason Aaron’s take on the Penguin, and Marc Guggenheim on ASM (I skipped his first arc).
BQ: Definitely going to see it, although I don’t know when. My wife is out of town this weekend and she wants to see it too (gasp!), so we may not get to it until later in the month.

Detective Comics #846 – My only Dini Detective so far was the Resurrection of Ra’s crossover and, well, yeah. But here’s hoping my fervor for the new movie will keep me buying this one. And the iFanboy’s love it, so I’m jumping on.
Invincible Iron Man #3 – I’m still riding the coattails of the movie.
Secret Invasion #4 – Well all my friends are buying it?
New York Four TPB – Local, good. Brian Wood, good. Ryan Kelly, good.
GameKeeper Series 2 #5 – The only reason I’m still buying this was because of how good Diggle’s first series was. This is atrocious. I think it ends soon, if no, the chopping block’s this way…
And regretfully, after two issues I’m dropping Captain Britain, just not my cup of tea.
BQ: Maybe not this week, I need to rewatch the first one, and then bump Pan’s Labryinth up on my Netflix Queue, then I’ll be ready.
Another light wek for me again. Only Detective Comics and Action. I already dropped SI, and i might get the back issue of Young Liars.
BQ: It depends, I am trying to find a NY showing of The Wackness. So if i can’t get to that i’ll see Hellboy.
In a slow week, I’m intrigued like many above to see Aaron on a bat-book. But Marvel Adventures Hulk #13 is easily the best cover of the week.
Looking forward to Secret Invasion, Action Comics, and Invincible Iron Man. I bought Ultimate Origin laset month, but I don’t think I will pick it up again this month.

I’ve found my jumping on points with Batman RIP and Action Comics/Superman. If me even 2 years ago was told I was going to be reading Batman and Superman books and enjoying them he would think I was a liar.
Powers. Need to know what’s gonna happen to Calista. Really need to know. Just reread entire Powers run after listening to 10+ hours of old Bendis tapes on Wordballon. Need new Powers fix NOW.
I’m looking forward to Secret Invasion #4, Nova, and Ultimate Origins #2. Somehow I feel like if Ultimate Origins does well, it may magically make Ulimates 3 a little more bearable. Once I find logic in that I’ll let you know.
I am so on board for Hellboy this week, oh yeah.
Oh yeah, meant to answer the BQ too. Of course I’m going to go see Hellboy! And my wife is excited to see it too. She just read a Hellboy TPB and is very interested in reading more. So far that makes Walking Dead, Preacher, and The Boys she digs along side Hellboy.
