There hasn’t been much sleep over the last four months or so as we’ve been working on a bunch of new projects for you guys to enjoy.
The first out of the gate is iFanboy, the new weekly video podcast companion to the iFanboy Pick of the Week Podcast! Two shows, you say? That’s crazy! When will you sleep? The answer is yes, yes and never because the material on the video show will be totally different from the audio show, giving you two new shows to look forward to every week!
iFanboy is very fortunate to now be a part of Revision3. And being part of their video podcasting network means that there will now be iFanboy forums for you to use! We know that many of you have been asking for forums for some time now, while others of you have asked that we not add forums. Now we’ve got the best of both worlds — you can head over to the Revision3 iFanboy forums to start your own discussions on topics we aren’t covering while continuing to engage in the moderated website we’ve got here!
Continue to look for new episodes of the iFanboy Pick of the Week Podcast every Sunday and now new episodes of iFanboy every Wednesday!

Lovin’ the video. Thanks guys. The quality is excellent, as well, with the comic overlays. You’ve got me hooked up for two days a week, although the wife was wondering who you were. I told her that these are the goofy guys that I make you listen to during our road trips. Conor’s head is making me cold. IFanboy beenies? Long live the sideburns! Yikes.

I noticed the Large WMV version of the show is only 4 minutes long. Is it supposed to be like that?
That was terrific. Normally I hate watching video on the PC longer than a movie trailer but very very slick. Excellent production, and more of that ifanboy goodness we’ve come to enjoy.

Guys, the show was great! I just recently watched the show that you guys did last year from San Diego. The thing that really stands out after watching that and now this is that Josh looks nothing like the picture of him that is in your “About” section.

They never said their lists were anything other than their own opinions. They are the books they like the most. Your list would obviously be different. Mine is as well, and you can see it in the video thread, along with a lot of other peoples’. The funny thing about all the lists is – no two of them are the same. And yet I bet people put plenty of thought into them. People are different, as are opinions and taste.
The beauty of the “Top Five…” list is that everyone’s is different!
It’s true. There are things that are going to be special to you, because you’re you. That’s how I feel about Box Office Poison. And I’ve read plenty of Eisner, and I absolutely recognize his craft, but he’s not my favorite, for whatever reason.
But that’s why there are forums. I mean, imagine if we’d picked 5 books, and everyone just agreed. “Shit, they’re right! My opinion is exactly the same as theirs.” Hell, the 3 of us couldn’t agree on 5.

This is great news guys. Being that I’m online and I like comic books, I’m naturally predisposed to find things to complain about. With that said, the ONLY thing I could ever find to complain about your show was that it was only once a week. Now that you have two shows, one audio and one video, I will be forced to find something else about iFanboy to complain about.
Do me a favor and just do something obvious that I can complain about. Just so I can get it out of the way. Maybe play some country music at the end of the show. Something really obnoxious.
I wouldn’t say country music is totally out of the question. So keep your fingers crossed. There’s always room for us to piss you off.

What we mean is that a show like Diggnation (and Geekdrome before it ended) releases an audio and a video version of the same show. It’s the same content just in different formats.

Wowsers, just had to add my quintuple thumbs up on the great new video cast everyone is raving about, because it really is quite good (maybe Fred can help me with the extra thumbs).
Somebody made the comparison to the San Diego Comics Con video you did, and how much BETTER this one is – very, very true, the graphics on the video are great, very well done, nice use of showing the art in the books and pop up titles, and almost simulates the wonderful experiece of being in one’s favorite local comic shop.

I’m in Tokyo, can’t get such ready access to everything like many, and recommendations of writers/artists/books I am unfamiliar with is a great service ifanboy provides. I think the first video was a great one to start, and aimed at those who aren’t steeped in all the lore, universes, past great books, etc. I like that, as other comic podcasts assume too much knowledge of all that and get bogged down in geeky storylines and character continuity nit picks as a result.
Thanks, keep up the good work, you 3 ifanboys are probably overworked, but I noticed that makes you guys are…funnier when it comes to doing the podcasts, a little lighted headed no doubt from overwork! Cheers!

2 shows!!! Way 2 go guys! I 2 think that this another way 2 let us listeners (and viewers now) get our weekly fix of iFanboy. Will you be using the video feed to review movies as well?
Excellent podcast, very cool guys. i wrote your first review on iTunes so I feel entitled to offer some suggestions;
Sit at a table – Less my mom’s basement and more public access. Make it a round table Charlie Rose type discussion show. Or a verbal slap fest like The View. Just get a table.
Get Mugs – Nothing says classy talk show more than sipping from “ifanboy” logo mugs.
Closeups – This will help us avoid Connor’s glassy stares and Ron’s goofy “I’m just glad to be here” grins.
Get a 4th Banana – All you guys are likable, you’re all stars. You need an Elizabeth Hassleback type to dump on. I suggest Augie DeBleck.
Closing Credits – Share the blame.
Spinoffs – After the 6th episode each of you should start demanding more screen time, bicker among yourselves, start abusive threads in the forums and ridicule your fanbase. Than start the spinoffs!
