24 Hour Comic by Mike Norton: The Curse II: The Cursening

This past weekend, October 2 to be exact, was "24 Hour Comics Day."  For those unaware, this is the one day a year where comic book creators who are motivated, engaged and a little bit crazy, heed the call and take the challenge of creating a single 24 page comic, from start to finish, in 24 hours (or less).  The 24 Hour Comic challenge was created by Scott McCloud and over the years many have taken the challenge, including Erik Larsen and Chris Eliopoulos.

Last year, artist Mike Norton (Billy Batson and the Magic of Shazam, Green Arrow/Black Canary) took the challenge and gave us his comic The Curse, which was a fun story about a pirate curse and of course there was a pug involved.  This year Mike Norton returned to the drawing board and gave us The Curse II: The Cursening and has been kind enough to post his 24 page story up online and allowed us to share it with you.

So sit back, grab a drink, and marvel at the amazing accomplishment that one comic creator can do within 24 hours.

I would read a series following Baxter: Paranormal Investigator/Pirate.

  5. I could not draw one of those pages in a month , and yet he did a whole comic in 24 hours.   That is beyond impressive.
