Will Eisner’s New York

The Museum of Cartoon and Comic Art is piqued my interest immediately with their latest announcement. Will Eisner's New York: From the Spirit to the Graphic Novel will run from March 1 to June 30. The show wil feature 100 pieces from every era of Eisner's massive body of work. Curated by Denis Kitchen and Danny Fingeroth, text will accompany each piece to provide historical context. Additionally, over the run, MoCCA will feature panel discussions in conjunction with the work, to be announced later.

If you have the ability to visit, it's a wonderful way to learn about a man who as much or more influence on the world of comic books than almost anyone. Plus the artwork itself is exemplary.
