  1. These guys are great. The Devil is a friend of mine, and I’m betting other friends of mine helped produce this. All super-awesome people.

Personal note: This might be one of those days I kinda regret moving back to Michigan.

The Houghtons are awesome. Videos like this make me want to go out and buy all the Reed Gunther issues a second time, just to support their particular merry brand of nonsense.

  3. Awesome.

  4. This was fantastic. Take my money now please.

  5. Ah. Mazing.

  6. Man, these guys are so fun. I picked up an early issue of Reed Gunther without being familiar with it and just had fun reading it. Let me just say that it was great seeing a “VIDEO” text on iFanboy after SO LONG. Even if it wasn’t in-house. I miss the IFanboy video podcast… but I understand it is tedious for the guys to do on a weekly basis. Maybe you can ask the Houghton Brothers to do one!

  7. Wow! That was incredible! I love these guys! Now when will the adventures continue for Reed and Sterling?! I haven’t seen a solicit for #11 yet. MUST HAVE MORE GUNTHER!!

    That was awesome.

  9. That was fantastic, so funny

  10. Seriously. These guys are amazing. And their marketing just makes me sick with jealousy. They’re really great at promoting the books. That video is funny, but it also makes you love these guys a little bit more. And this is no “talk into a webcam” video either; the producer in me can’t look at something like this without thinking about the locations, shots, blocking, lighting, editing, etc. And that’s just for a single (very well worth it) marketing piece.

  11. I’d never considered the book before, but after having watched this video I am going to SEEK IT OUT.

  12. Points for this video. I’m gonna check out all your issues.

  13. Houghton bros rock! Love it when they do these sorts of videos.

When I interviewed them earlier in the year I had a lot of fun writing up the article

  14. This should be a standard response to readers from creators to explain delays! Oh and freaking awesome guys!

  15. These guys are very awesome at responding to fan mail and overall enthusiasm about their work in general. I consider myself a very happy fan of theirs because the vigor portrayed in this video is exactly reflective of the blood, sweat, and tears they pour into Reed Gunther. Thanks for keeping Reed Gunther in my life!
