I think they actually got away from the freak of the week (lets use Smallville terminology here people!) last year. They certainly don’t rely on it as much as they used to.

I might be the only one, but I cannot stand Callum Blue’s Zod. I find myself fast-forwarding through every scene with him.
Lois, Chloe and Oliver continue to deliver in very entertaining ways.
The ‘birds and bees’ conversation between Clark and Jor-El must have been even more awkward than the one that I had with my dad back in the day.
The small talk scene with Clark and Ollie was probably my favorite of the episode. It’s almost how I’d guess the talks pre-JLA meetings go at the Watchtower table. Anyway, I know I’m late to the party, bust still found the episode enjoyable.
