An annual tradition that I look forward to every year is the CBLDF Liberty Annual. A great, oversized anthology with some of the biggest and best names in comics come together in the name of free speech and liberty to give us awesome comics and this year’s annual is no different. Edited by Image Comics publisher Eric Stephenson, this year’s CBLDF Liberty Annual features multiple covers by Gabriel Ba’, Terry Dodson and Chis Giarrusso and is packed with some outstanding comics talent inside.
The biggest draw for the annual this year is an all-new story from The Walking Dead by Robert Kirkman and Charlie Adlard featuring the villain who will soon make his television debut on The Walking Dead on AMC, The Governor. You can only get this story in the annual, so fans of The Walking Dead should take definitely take note.
In addition to Kirkman and Adlard, the annual features stories from Howard Chaykin and Sina Grace, Terry Moore, Jim McCann and Janet Lee, Andy Diggle and Ben Templesmith, Jonathan Hickman, Brandon Graham, Joe Keatinge and Chynna Clugston-Flores, Kieron Gillen and Nate Bellegarde and a bunch more! In addition to these all new and original stories, we’ll also be getting a taste of some new books from Image Comics, including James Robinson and J.Bone’s The Savior as well as Storm Dogs from David Hine and Doug Braithwaite.
The CBLDF Liberty Annual 2012 comes out on October 31, 2012 and will be a hefty 48 pages. Best of all, this anthology goes to benefit and help the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund, so it’s great way to do your part to help the comic book industry and support the celebration of freedom.
