It took me a while to figure it out, but I THINK the lower symbol is a play on how half of Cannonball's body disappears when he's using his powers. The filled-in half is his body, and the dotted line is the blast. It's kind of...silly...but it's the only thing that makes sense to me. I have no idea why Hickman wouldn't use Cannonball's new chest symbol, instead, though. Speaking of Cannonball's chest symbol: has anyone else noticed that it's flipped upside down between the cover and the last page?
