July 3, 2013 11:40 pm Yes and no. The sound effects came after the action in the TV show, but in the comic it wasn't the SFX and action, but SFX and dialogue. In one particular sequence the action happens, Batman has a word balloon, and then the SFX comes. I don't think that that happened in the TV show. November 13, 2012 11:43 pm This was a fantastic GN. I remember starting to read the source material in sixth-grade, but I think it was a little too advanced for me back then. I loved this and now want to read the original. It was a quick read and I finished it on a road trip. The only think that was a little bit of a downer for me was that the theology was a little wonky. Regardless, it was something I was able to easily overlook and still thoroughly enjoyed the adaptation.
